Our two nights on the InnChanter was an experience never to be forgotten. Gary and Rebecca were fabulous hosts and did everything to ensure we had a delightful time. Due to rain coming, Gary advised us to get to the Hot Springs after dinner our first night. What an adventure that was! Be sure to bring flashlights and water shoes as the rocks are very slippery. The food was fantastic. Breakfast was at 10:00 each morning and dinner at 6:00. We enjoyed having Rebecca and Gary eat with us and we felt like we had made two new friends by the time we left. It was sad to tell them goodbye. If you are wine drinkers, be sure to bring wine with you. We stayed in the library room and slept like we NEVER do at home. The boat was SLOWLY rocking (probably due to the rain) so that might have been why sleeping was SO good. The only thing we didn't get to do was meet Shaun. I guess we will just have to come back.

There are some places a person wants to add to their bucket list, and then there are other majestic enchanting places that BELONG AT THE TOP of that list! The InnChanter is just the place. Staying at the InnChanter and experiencing the Hot Springs Cove is something I will never forget! The two should automatically go hand-in-hand. What an AH.....MAZING, Incredible, awe inspiring ?✨ INNCHANTING✨ experience! Shaun, Jon, Rebecca & Gary truly make it magical! Thank you for the EXCEPTIONAL hospitality, the very unique, clean and comfy accommodations, the marvelous meals, fantastic conversation, & wonderful company and experiences that we will never forget! From being greated at the InnChanter floating dock with a kiss on the hand and a bow of chivalry upon arrival. Swoon! ? Me and my hubby booked the princess room for two nights to ensure we would get to experience Hot Springs Cove before and after the boat loads AND I DO MEAN BOAT LOADS of tourists that came and left the Hot Springs Cove dock each day (the Hot Springs Cove comfortably can handle maybe 10 people at a time?). AND EXPERIENCE IT, WE DID! The Innchanter is a short canoe ride from the Hot Springs Cove dock- far enough away not to be bothered by the people arriving at the other dock by boat. We wanted to be able to be completely immersed in the experience- uncrowded and without the risk of missing out or waiting for a turn that may never come as we were warned by one boating company. In my opinion THIS is the only way you should plan on doing this breathtaking awwww inspiring bucket list trip! Shaun, John, Rebecca, and Gary went out of their way to make us comfortable and our stay as ✨ InnChanting ✨ as it was meant to be! I had some personal insecurities that I had created as a barrier in my own mind; but Shaun and Gary went out of their way to help make my insecurities melt away and accommodated me to allow me to have such a memorable experience of a lifetime! They listened and figured out an easy fix to ease my anxiety. It meant so very much to me! Why can't all people be that receptive and in tune with others?! Way to go! STAY here! Scrumptious Breakfast and Supper is served on the boat daily by an amazing cook Rebecca, who fills the boat with tantalizing and swirling aroma accompanied by quite the palate of matching sight and tastes . Shaun who has great humor was extremely knowledgable of the area and recommended memorable things to do and see:) We learnt alot from the stories around the communal dinner table that were both humourous and factual. He is passionate about his boat, and it shows! The vast and expansive twinkling starry night sky that was so very clear- as if the sky was strung with trillions and trillions of mini clear Christmas lights, and the fire place gently roaring along with the soft glow of the flickering shadow-casting candles on board the heritage boat completed the atmosphere at night. Do not miss out on this experience of a lifetime! Amber & Jon Dean

When your friends rave about Shaun and the Innchanter like family, you know you HAVE to visit. We had hopes and dreams for our stay, but they were far exceeded, thanks to Shaun's hospitality and tips for the locale. We got to soak in the hot springs under the Milky Way as meteors flashed by, and then paddled back to the boat surrounded by blue bioluminescence. (Just ask Shaun how he tests whether the bioluminescence is in show 😉 And make sure to break out the Fluster game after dinner - it was invented on the Innchanter!

We couldn't even stay for tea and crumpets but even so, our visit was truly scrumptous! We just had just a quick tour and chat after our delivery, but the warm welcome will stay with me for many years to come!

We ‘only’ flew in from Tofino for dinner (with pilot Ben, who had the time of his life), but it tasted after more! Thanks Shaun, for your fabulous hospitality and cheflevel cooking. If you are ever in Holland again, welcome!! Richard, Moniek and Nout

I spent an incredible 2 days on the Inn Chanter. I was so impressed I returned a few days later for another couple of days. The location is unsurpassed, the food so amazing I still think about it and the hosts couldn't have been better. Thank you guys. You are simply the best!

Arrived with a party of 4 expecting luxury accommodation as stated in the advertisements - first thing no water on board for showers - we were staying 2 nights - no windows in cabin for air flow - beds were not clean as we found gravel inside the bed had to get out to sweep the gravel out of the bed - no tea or coffee making facilities - all gas and water turned off - only vegan food no meat and not stated on booking - we picked up a salmon thank god otherwise eating rice and egg plant - we left day early not happy at all - springs 2 km walk and a canoe paddle from the boat and only one canoe worked our other party had to take a row boat that was not good at all. no life jackets offered - pretty dam poor for $175 per night per person (we paid $145/person per night) and I do say thank you to the owner for not charging us the extra night - we got the sea plane out and thank god - no extra food on board between meals - take extra food if you want to eat and also no where to put your beers - how about in a bucket in the water was what we were offered - no way were could put any beer in his one fridge and also no sugar for the tea unless asked for and then told this is white death - so no way I would recommend this place at all - no towels offered no torches for a night walk to the springs - nothing you didn't bring it bad luck

This is a truly unique experience and not to be missed. Shaun and his crew are incredibly good hosts. The food is fresh and served family style, which makes every night a dinner party with interesting guests. The setting in a remote cove cannot be beat, and being able to access the hot springs at all hours (including before and after the large tour groups) is a major benefit. Note that the boat has been beautifully renovated, and rooms are clean and comfortable, but remember it is a boat in an isolated location, so there are no showers, etc.

My husband and I came for our honeymoon trip and we had the most loveliest time. We are now 10 years out and I want very much to come back. Our meals were so beautiful and delicious. Using the canoe to go over to the hot springs was just so simple and grand. There is no lovelier a destination.

Rugged gorgeous and inspiring (and I'm not just speaking about our host)! We had a spectacular time... delicious food, cozy rooms, excellent company, Hot Springs, phosphorescence and stars...What more could you want? Food for the Soul!

This experience is a must! If you find pleasure emerged in a cove of warm company and mouth-watering meals.... you need anchor here! Captain Shaun is a dream host. He's well versed in literature and the lay of the land, and open to directing you on hiking adventures that lead you off the boardwalk path. I recommend skirting the shorelines surrounding the Innchanter if you are curious about seeing aquatic life in its natural beauty. There be rowboat, kayak and canoe a plenty ready for your riding. It's well worth the trip to the Hot Springs; picture Avatar-inspired scenery you thought you might only imagine... until you get here.

We had a great time on the InnChanter, despite the heavy rain. Dinner (both the food and the company) was fantastic. We really enjoyed the fireplace during the rainy night. Shaun, thanks so much for sending us off the to hot springs in the morning when we were feeling lazy and dry - it was a truly amazing experience to be there when the pools were nearly deserted at low tide! Sorry we were late getting back for breakfast - it was delicious, thanks for keeping it warm. Hopefully we will be back again someday!

Ryan, from Paddle West Kayaking, suggested we book on the InnChanter for a night when it was going to be too stormy for our sea kayaking camping adventure. My four kids (20, 18, 17 and 14) and I could not be happier with the turn of events. From the moment we climbed aboard the "dead head run" on one of Jamie's hot spring tour boats to the flight home on Tofino Air, this was an incredibly memorable family vacation. Shaun is a wonderful host with a beautifully renovated fishing vessel. The dining room was the perfect setting to enjoy an eclectic group of new people, with fantastic food, terrific conversation, and a West Coast storm lashing the windows. A roaring fire in the lovely sitting room before retiring to our book-lined rooms made for a perfect evening. On Shaun's suggestion we took out the canoes and kayaks for a paddle up the channel across from the hot springs (and the InnChanter's mooring) and viewed the Pacific pounding on to the rocks as we bobbed 10 feet away with the sea otters, safely behind the natural breakwall of sea kelp. This was a fantastic journey for us all. Thank you, Shaun. It was a pleasure for us to meet you.

We're off for our second trip to the Innchanter. This is one of the most unique B and Bs you will ever find. The location is spectacular and the food is fabulous. You'll not find a more gracious and accommodating host than Shaun, the captain and gourmet chef. Relax and enjoy. Highly recommended.

Our stay on the InnChanter exceeded our expectations. We were thrilled to have such a unique place to stay near the hot springs so that we could enjoy them at sunrise, sunset, and anytime in between. The trip was further enhanced by Shaun: his stellar hospitality, his stories, his enthusiasm, and his fabulous cooking. Shaun, thank you for your attention to details that make your guests feel so warm and welcome (like setting the scene for such a magical moment when we returned from our late night soak and found the salon glowing from the flickering light of candles and the wood burning in the fireplace). Sensational!

Joe and I were there on May 6th/15 for an overnight stay. The boat ride from Tofino to Innchanter, our stay, the hot springs, our hike through the woods and our flight back on the float plane were all part of a very intricate surprise mothers' day and fathers' day present offered by our 4 children and coordinated by our daughters Cynthia and Samantha. Our host Shawn was the funniest, warmest and friendliest host we have ever met. Thank you very much for your hospitality Shawn, it was a great pleasure meeting you and sharing the most delicious meals. Keep up the good work and thanks for helping keep the whole thing a surprise all the way until the float plane. We will meet again. I recommend this place to everyone I speak with - by the way Shawn ... do you need a cook, a deck help or a cleaning slave for the summer? Thank you so much ...

Shawn. Our stay with you on Wednesday and part of Thursday was the best experience ever. It was unforgettable and we loved every minute of it. Thank you so very much for everything. You're a fabulous host and cook. And if you do decide to sell innchanter keep us in mind. Cheers xo
